WhatsApp Business catalog price not showing: what to check
If the price in your WhatsApp Business catalog is not showing, first check that you typed it in the Price field and saved the item. Price is not a required field. WhatsApp also says prices work only in some countries. New items and new photos are reviewed before customers see them.
Why is my WhatsApp Business catalog price not showing?
WhatsApp treats price as an extra detail, not a required one. WhatsApp says every item needs its own name, a photo and a country of origin. Price, sale price, description, website link and product code are optional. So an item can be approved and live with no price at all.
Go through the checks below in order. Most price problems are fixed by the first two.
1. Check the Price field and save
On Android, WhatsApp's steps to edit an item start from the Tools tab. Tap Catalog, open the item and check the optional details. Price and Sale price are separate fields. Enter the price, then tap Save.
If the save fails, WhatsApp says to save after each change, not many at once. Also check your internet.
2. Check that prices are available where you are
WhatsApp says you can add prices only in some countries. If you do not see a price field at all, this may be the reason. Update the app to the latest version and check again.
3. Wait for the review to finish
WhatsApp checks every photo, video and item you add. Items that are still waiting are not shown to customers. If the item itself is missing, not just the price, give the review time to finish. Our catalog approval time guide explains the review.
4. Check where the catalog comes from
Some shops connect a Meta catalogue to WhatsApp Business instead of making one in the app. If you did that, your products come from the Meta catalog. Check the price there, in Commerce Manager, rather than in the app. The bulk upload guide explains connected catalogs.
5. Ask the customer to update WhatsApp
If you can see the price but one customer cannot, their app may be out of date. WhatsApp notes that shared catalog links might not open on phones older than Android 6.0. Ask them to update WhatsApp.
What if you do not want to show a price?
Some trades never show prices publicly. Jewellers quote by the day's gold rate. Wholesalers give each buyer a different price. In the WhatsApp catalog you can simply leave the price field empty. In a OneCatalog catalogue, a product with no price shows Price on request. Customers tap to ask you on WhatsApp.
Still stuck?
A OneCatalog catalogue shows the exact price text you give us, such as a fixed price, a starting price or Price on request. There is no review step on our side before it goes live. Read how it compares on our WhatsApp catalogue page.
